The owner of this badly deteriorating building had an opportunity to receive grant money from the City of San Bruno for complete renovation of the exterior elevations. Our first design detailed a new aluminum storefront system and articulated stucco above the glass line to the top of parapet. When demolition began the area between the top of glass and top of parapet revealed an interesting Frieze/Cornice. It was decided, with City of San Bruno planning approval, that the Frieze/Cornice would be restored to its original state. Altogether with new lighting, canvas awnings, and friendly storefronts returned this building to its former glory.
