The Livermore Center was constructed in the 1960’s and has been in need of renovation for several years. Suffering from high vacancy rates, Rathbun Properties initiated the Center’s rejuvenation in 1995. Hayashida Architects developed the overall design image for the dilapidated Center by introducing attractive architectural features centered around a raised clock tower. This design was produced to fit the developer’s budget as well as the City’s required design criteria. In addition, surveys were performed of the Center’s site for compliance with the Americans with Disablities Act (ADA) and recommendations were made for the removal of barriers.
