In remodeling the Marina Cove Apartments, Hayashida Architects combined visual aesthetics with much needed structural improvements to the building. Built in the 1960′s, the apartment complex suffered from a leaky roof and windows that popped out during high winds. Hayashida Architects added brown shingle exterior to waterproof the building and to create an elegant façade that complemented the marina environment. The new roof, windows and doors improved the design both functionally and visually. The new entry with landscaped gardens completed the improvements.
